The Tent
Welcome to
The Tent
TSBKC became a non-profit organization in 2010. Henry and Frances Brower bought our tent in 2011 and it was set up in their backyard. They desired to continue their pursuit of loving, knowing and experiencing their God (Jesus Christ) while continuing to attend both their Christian Reformed Church and Bethel Assembly of God. It wasn’t until years later that Jesus led them to begin a church (DALET meaning “The Open Door” whom is Jesus :)
The Tent has become an iconic symbol and the destination of our ministry. It has been used as a place for celebrations, conferences, weddings, dinners, overnight worship, slumber parties and so much more! The Tent has survived huge storms (for CA), rain, winds, and anything else thrown at it. Oh, the exciting adventures we have had as a family!
In 2022 we moved The Tent outside the Brower’s backyard where it stands today in its permanent home just next door.
Our Facilities:
- The Tent sits on a cement pad and is carpeted.
- We have a restroom and sink adjacent to The Tent.
- When arriving, please drive up the long straight driveway, not the residence driveways.
- Please park behind The Tent on the field side.
- Please be careful when walking up as there are uneven pathways. If you have any accessibility needs contact our office email and we will make sure to find a way to accommodate you.

The land where The Tent is located is managed by Henry and Frances. Their backyard is only available and accessible with their permission. They encourage you to not worry about the volume of the music while you worship as they are overjoyed when they hear people coming to worship Jesus on their own or with friends day or night!
From Frances:
I am so happy to share my absolute favorite place to worship Jesus! Please be as free as you know to be as you worship and allow Him to touch your heart. Sing, jump, shout, use instruments, dance, laugh, skip, run, sit, lay, roll…. My heart’s desire is that you would know Him as in both Song of Songs and John 17 where Jesus prays His desire to our Father:
“…I pray also for those who will believe in Me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as You are in Me and I am in You. May they also be in Us so that the world may believe that you have sent Me…I have given them the glory that You gave Me, that they may be one as We are One: I in them and You in Me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that You sent Me and have loved them even as You have loved Me….” John 17:20-24. (Heehee!!! :))
THIS is my own teensy heart’s desire for you.
